The bee pollen may seem random, but it is essential during allergy season. While it may seem counter-intuitive, bee pollen is actually great for curing seasonal allergies. It reduces histamines (aka the stuff that makes you sneeze, sniffle, and cough). It is nature’s Claritin. Bee pollen is safe for young children. However, if your child is under 5, you can check with your child’s pediatrician first. When buying bee pollen, make sure it is local. It has to be from a nearby area to counteract the pollutants in your air.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup frozen butternut squash
  • 1/4 cup steamed, frozen cauliflower
  • 1/4 cup mango (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon bee pollen
  • 1/2 teaspoon lucuma

Method

  1. In a large blender, combine all the ingredients listed above and blend until well-combined.
  2. Enjoy!
